Institutional questions structured into context.

Understand use cases,
assess mandate questions.

Case studies show how 7orca analyses and structures typical questions raised by institutional investors in FX Management and translates them into transparent decision-making foundations. The focus is on anonymised application scenarios from FX Consulting, FX Execution, FX Structuring, FX Overlay and FX Exposure Management.

The case studies do not replace an individual assessment. They do, however, show which questions regularly become relevant in institutional mandates: benchmark definition, exposure analysis, execution structure, hedging logic, liquidity, governance and reporting.

Private Assets – case study FX Exposure Management.

Analyse Private Markets investments,
determine economic FX exposure.

In Private Markets, the reported fund currency may only provide an incomplete view of the actual economic FX exposure. Fund structures, valuation cycles, capital calls, distributions, natural hedges and existing hedges at manager or fund level can influence the relevant currency position.

The case study shows how 7orca uses its FX look-through to bring together relevant information from fund, manager and mandate structures, consolidate economic FX exposures and create a robust basis for further currency steering.

Practice report: currency overlay for an insurance company.

Understanding the motivation,
following the implementation.

Complementing the anonymised case studies, a practice report in the German insurance journal Zeitschrift für Versicherungswesen documents a real mandate: in 2020, SV SparkassenVersicherung mandated 7orca as its dedicated currency overlay manager for all FX risks following a comprehensive provider due diligence.

The article examines the motivation for implementing a central currency overlay.
